2018-2019 GCC Mid-West Regional Meeting at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign
1/31/2019 - 2/1/2019

Event Description
Join your GCC Mid-West colleagues for a regional meeting hosted by the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign. There is no registration fee; however, you must be a paid GCC member to attend. Questions about the event may be directed to Derek Attig (dattig2@illinois.edu), Director of Career Development.

This year's GCC Mid-West Regional Meeting will focus on bringing GCC members together to share and collaborate about successes, challenges, best practices, and exciting new ideas. After a welcome and interactive storytelling workshop, the focus of the conference will be on Collaborative Conversations. During each Collaborative Conversation session, attendees will choose a topic (drawn from a member survey, like programming innovations, working with online students, collaborating with faculty and departments, employer outreach, building inclusive cultures, and more) to address in an open, creative discussion with colleagues from across the region.

Thi Nguyen (Washington University in St. Louis) and Garth Fowler (American Psychological Association) are planning an inaugural GCC Midwest Journal Club meeting for the afternoon of the 31st. See details below.
