About the 2020 GCC Southeast Regional: This year’s GCC Southeast Regional will be held in Athens, GA on the campus of the University of Georgia. Athens is an iconic college town with a vibrant music and food scene. The University of Georgia is home to over 7,000 graduate students in a diverse array of disciplines and also houses a College of Pharmacy, a College of Veterinary Medicine, a School of Law, and a growing  medical training partnership with the Medical College of Georgia. Attendees at this year’s meeting can expect to participate in sessions related to effective program design and institutional support strategies for addressing the unique challenges faced by graduate-level trainees. A detailed schedule of program content will be released upon the opening of registration around November 1.
 
Registration: Registration for the GCC Southeast Regional Conference will open November 1 (RSVP by Dec 10). Attendance is free to all GCC members – but you must register to attend. Register by completing this form, you will receive a confirmation once registration is complete.
 
Accommodations: The GCC Southeast Regional Conference will be held at the University of Georgia, in Athens from 8a - 4p – room blocks at a discounted rate can be reserved the night prior and/or the night after the conference at Spring Hill Suites Athens Downtown/University Area for $129 USD per night - Book your group rate for Graduate Career Consortium or guests may call 1.833.854.9571 and ask for group code: GCC.  Block Room reservations expire Dec 30th.
 
Regional Dinner & Preconference: We hope you can join us for dinner the night prior if you travel plans can accommodate it, and connect with colleagues, new and old! Consider attending the Southeast Regional Pre-Conference on Jan 30 from 2:30-5:30p(co-sponsored by NSF-Innovations in Graduate Education (IGEAccelerate to Industry (A2i) Program) to discuss opportunities for a Southeast Region A2i Consortium to collaborate around industry professional development programming regionally.
 
Flash Talks/Presentations: We encourage you to consider presenting a 5-10 min Lightning Talk about your programming to share great ideas and innovative programs at the Southeast Regional Conference!  Please indicate programs/topics you'd like to present about during your FlashTalk when you register to attend (you may also email these separately to acrain@uga.edu if you think of ideas after registering).
