The 2026 Graduate Career Consortium Mid-Career Conference is a half-day virtual gathering designed for experienced practitioners navigating the distinctive realities of mid-career life in graduate career education — leading from the middle, balancing institutional priorities with daily operations, and sustaining yourself in high-touch work.

Through a keynote on leadership, redefining success, and protecting wellbeing; small-group breakouts on the issues that define this stage (burnout and self-care, serving as an office of one, navigating large career centers as a middle manager, and supervising and developing staff); and a panel of fellow GCC members sharing pivotal decisions and lessons from their own mid-career journeys, participants will leave with practical strategies, renewed perspective, and stronger ties to a community of peers who understand the work.

Whether you're looking to grow your influence, recalibrate your relationship to the role, or simply find others who get it, this conference offers space to reflect, reconnect, and recharge alongside colleagues across the field.

A full agenda is included here for your reference.

The registration cost for the 2026 Mid-Career Professionals Workshop is $150.
