Graduate Career Consortium (GCC) Regional Meeting: New England & Eastern Canada 2025
Join us for an interactive half-day GCC Regional Meeting designed to foster meaningful connections, spark ideas, and explore forward-thinking solutions in graduate career and professional development frameworks. This dynamic event will feature engaging talks, panels, collaborative idea generation, and practical case studies—all presented in a flexible "choose your own adventure" format to meet your professional interests—and final details about the agenda will be sent in the future.

Welcome & Kickoff
Get energized for the day with a warm welcome from our event organizers.
Session Block 1: Icebreaker & Show & Tell
10:00am - 10:50am
Connect with peers in small groups (5-6 people) as you share innovative projects, programs, and strategies that excite you.
- 30 minutes: Small group introductions and project/program sharing.
- 15 minutes: Group debrief—one representative reports out key trends and observations to the larger group.
Session Block 2: Deep Dives #1
Choose from three focused sessions designed to inspire and provide actionable insights:
- Assessment – High-impact practices for assessment and case study around practical applications of assessment
- Policy Implementation – Discuss practical approaches to implementing new policies effectively.
- Pathways for Professional Development/Growth – Discover opportunities and frameworks to support your career growth in graduate career services.
GCC Executive Board & Lunch
Enjoy a lunch break while hearing updates from the GCC Executive Board. Includes a 15-minute buffer to refresh before the afternoon sessions.
Session Block 3: Deep Dives #2
- Managing a Team / Upskilling to Manage – Tackle challenges and strategies for leading effective teams.
- Anticipated Changes in Higher Ed – Examine emerging trends and prepare for shifts in the graduate education landscape in 2025.
- Forward-Thinking Programming – What are strategies to get students to engage with their career and professional development during later years of their degree program and beyond? Two strategies discussed: Alumni Engagement & Generative AI
Closing & Wrap-Up
Reflect on key takeaways, complete the post-event survey, and celebrate a productive day of collaboration.
